6 Stage Purification Technology
The purification in the Eureka Forbes water purifier starts with the pre filter which removes macroscopic contaminants, mud and turbidity from the inlet water. The water then flows to an activated charcoal scrubber that removes organic contaminants, chlorine and foul odors. A Reverse Osmosis unit in the next stage subjects the water to high pressure to create a reverse osmotic pressure to rid the water of the excess dissolved salts and bring the TDS levels down to acceptable drinking levels. In between every stage the water is passed through filters to remove any remaining contaminants. The final stage of the purification involves sending the water through an ultraviolet filtration unit and a carbon scrubber which destroys all the bacteria, viruses and cysts before sending out the pure drinking water.
Advanced Alert System
The Eureka Forbes RO water purifier features an alert system that shuts off the purifier unit and alerts the user when one of the components fails or comes to the end of its life so it can be replaced.

The purifier can be used with inlet water sources having TDS ranges from 1 to 200 mg/ litre and achieve an TDS reduction of 90% to provide safe drinking water and still retain all the essential minerals.
