Description

This product foam based and comes with a washable cover Intended Use: The product should be used during any one of following instances:- 1. Users with persistent lower back resulting from irritation of the coccyx 2. Users requiring spine correction while being seated 3. Users seated for longer duration resulting from longer work hours, partial or total immobility Coccydynia cushion is made of foam or gel with a cutout at the back near the base of the spine to relieve pressure on the tailbone or spine. They are used to treat a variety of spinal and back pain disorders. Doctors frequently recommend that patients use a coccyx cushion after back surgery to reduce pressure on the spinal column and tailbone. Coccydynia cushions are also often used to help relieve pain from other chronic pain conditions, inflammatory pain, or to relieve pressure on the back and pelvic area during pregnancy. Coccydynia cushions are made in varying levels of firmness and it is important that you use a cushion that's comfortable for you. Coccydynia cushions are also made with gel tops. Gel top layer can help provide a softer form of cushioning and will conform better to the contours of your body. Use the cushion everywhere. Coccyx cushion treatment will be most effective if you can use the cushion in the car, at home, at work and everywhere else you need to sit down. You can purchase several inexpensive cushions, or opt for one that can travel with you and be used everywhere. Sit in a chair with a back. Use the coccyx cushion in a chair with a back that will give you extra support. The cushion naturally helps improve your posture by slightly elevating your hips, and sitting in a chair with a back will help you sit up straight and eliminate pressure on your spine and pelvis. Keep the cushion clean. The Coccydynia Cushion comes with a removable cover for hand or machine washing to ensure that your cushion is clean and sanitary. Manufacturer's Warranty: Manufacturer will replace the product if it is found defective and/or if it is damaged during use within 3 months of purchase of this product. Disposal: In case of damaged or worn out product, it must either returned to the company or disposed as per local government regulations. What is Coccydynia? Coccydynia, commonly called tailbone pain or coccyx pain, is a condition that can cause persistent pain at the very bottom of the spine. This part of the spine is the coccyx, or tailbone. Coccydynia is felt as a localized pain and will generally feel worse when sitting or with any activity that puts pressure on the bottom area of the spine. On rare occasions, an infection or tumor can also cause pain in the coccyx. Coccydynia Symptoms and Treatments Coccydynia symptoms may consist of one or all of the following: - Pain that is markedly worse when sitting - Local pain in the tailbone area that is worse when touched or when any pressure is placed on it - Pain that is worse when moving from a sitting to standing position A combination of treatments to reduce the pain and activity modification to keep pressure off the tailbone usually suffices to control or alleviate the pain. In very rare cases, surgery to remove the coccyx may be recommended, but the surgery (Coccygectomy) will typically only be considered if the pain is severe and at least several months of non-surgical treatment and activity modification has not been effective in relieving the pain. The majority of coccyx injuries occur in women because: - The women's coccyx is rotated, leaving it more exposed to injury - Women have a broader pelvis, which means that sitting places pressure on their coccyx (male anatomy causes them to sit without much pressure on the coccyx) - Childbirth is a common cause of the condition.
