About the Book:-This book is the second of four lecturers delivered by the author under the auspices of the Madras University on the 29th January 1929 and the succeeding days as a part of the Oriental Research Institute. The first, lecture made a, survey of the research carried on with respect to the Dravidian languages and proposed to give a fresher orientation and, newer outlook to Dravidian research in accordance with the latest advances made in Philological investigation. The second and the third deaIt with the Dravidian racial and culture complexes and sought to establish the relationship of the Dravidians racially and culturally with the Indo-Europeans. In the fourth a detailed examination was made of the close connection between Telugu and Kanarese language. In this part the lectures explain the Dravidian racial and culture complex, a retrospect and prospect of Dravidian Philology, and the relationship of the Dravidian language with other old languages like Prakrit, Iranian, Vedic, Pali, Paisali, Kashmiri, Sindhi, Lahundi and Khas Kura. This book is a reprint of the 1929 edition. About the Author:-Chilukuri Narayana Rao was born in 1890 at Ponduru. He was a well known Telugu writer, lexicographer, historian and scholar. He was born to Bheemasenarao and Lakshmamma in 1890 in Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh. He was educated at University of Madras. His notable works include Amba, Upanishattulu, Musalamma, Vaade, Borrayyasetti, Gujaraati Vangmayamu. He also published Aandhra Bhaashaa Charitram in the year 1937 and a revised version of Sankaranarayana's English-Telugu Dictionary. He received the honorary doctorate degree of ‘Kala Prapoorna' from Andhra University in the year 1947. The Title 'An Introduction To Dravidian Philology written/authored/edited by C.
