Nupur Batra is a Delhi based accessory designer who tries to capture beauty in everything she creates. She is one such designer from India who has successfully blended East + West fashions and started an entrepreneurship named ANANAYA. Her knowledge, creativity and love for Indian art and craft needed expression and she started with lady apparels. Developing a range of apparels keeping in mind her customers profile, fashion trends with emphasis on finishing and quality made her customers love her work. Her customers’ pool and confidence increased and in the early days of 1998 she was retailing through her store in New Delhi-up Market South Extension-I. Her first accessory was a simple potli made to match lehanga for a bride whom she had put together her trousseau. The potli was such a hit that she had to shift her focus from designing clothes to clutches. She at ‘Ananaya’ has a dream—a dream where there is beauty all around, where people live and love all, as she makes bags for the love of making bags!
