To help increase the shelf life of the projector lamp, the device has been designed with Standby mode. In this mode, the projector keeps power consumption to a minimum with 0.5 W standby power, when left inactive.

SmartEco Technology

Eco Blank Mode
The BenQ MX805ST projector is good when it comes to saving unnecessary power consumption. It has Eco Blank Mode which helps in saving power consumption by when it is activated. The projector blanks the projection of the media content to dim the lamp power automatically, saving power usage. This in return, lowers down the total power consumption by 70%. You simply need to press the “Eco Blank Mode” key on the keypad or the “Blank” button on the remote control to activate the Eco Blank Mode.

SmartEco Mode
The BenQ MX805ST incorporates the SmartEco Mode function which adjusts the lamp power to save power consumption. It does not decrease the quality of the original content; however, it offers brilliant projection of the required content with optimal contrast and high brightness. The projector works on the mechanism of providing light to the image as required and not in excess.

No Source Detected Mode
It has been noticed that in a classroom PC or a notebook, the projector is turned on without a display source. This wastes power on a good level. To reduce power wastage by avoiding a projector from running with full lamp power, the MX805ST has been developed with No Source Detected Mode. It lowers the projector lamp’s brightness to 30% after the projector has been left unconnected to a display source for more than 3 minutes.
