Description

Book Description
Blink is all about the split second decisions that we make and the author claims that many times of our snap judgements are really good, much better than we think they are. But when asked to explain them, or go into a methodical procedure, we end up making bad decisions. For e.g.., when a bunch of college kids were asked review their findings about Jams, they came up with ratings which were very similar to the ones the experts in the field had come up. But when the college kids were asked to explain their decisions, they all seemed to go into a tizzy. Our Blink decisions are largely a result of our highly powerful sub-conscious mind, which helps us make the decisions we do. Understanding snap judgments is not arbitrary as one might perceive it to be and with practice it is an art which can be mastered!
