About the Author
Bobby Fischer was an American eleventh World Chess Champion and a chess grandmaster. He is one of the greatest chess players of all time. In the 1990s, Fischer patented an adapted chess timing system that brought in a time increment after each move. This has now become a standard practice in top tournament and match play. He also made a new variant of chess known as Fischer Random Chess or Chess960.
