Cross-border terrorism has emerged as a great threat to the security of India. Terrorism originating from across the border has slowly attempted to strangle the democracy and sovereignty of India. India has been battling with the surge in terrorism driven by religious extremism for many years. Now, the Central Asian Republics (CARs) have also began to feel the impact of an overflow of terrorism linked activities into their countries. Militant groups in these republics have been influenced by the religious extremism spreading outward from this region. Terror today is neither limited to cases of bomb blasts and attacks and questions of justice therein, nor is it about the guilt or innocence of individual/individuals and groups. Terror-whether in the jungles or urban centres, or in the iniquitousness of security cameras-today, is a narrative. A narrative informing a politics, informing relations between the state and its citizens, informing our very ideas of lives negotiated as a people. This book is a modest attempt to discuss all these issues.

He has been an outstanding Regimental Officer and Instructor at Elite Army Institution, National Defence Academy, Pune. He has been a venerated teacher at an Elite Institution.
