About the Book:
An unlettered boy is uprooted from his blessed countryside, and planted in a small city. He recalls some of the challenges and qualms of settling into an alien environment made up of sophisticated people. He reminisces about his relationships with some unique, and interesting personalities who made a great impression on him, and helped shape him into being an idealist.
The writer relates a series of his life events that give him sweet sensations, and occasional shudders, in the lonely hours of the night. These events are marked by fun and fear, pain and pleasure, delight and despair, glory and humiliation, struggle and escape, anxiety and comfort, and above all, by his hopes and dreams.
