Having CAS number 8006-90-4, the oil is slightly yellow in color with cold mint odor. Further, it has solubility in alcohol as well as paraffin oil with insolubility in water. The other specifications include Specific Gravity of 0.900 to 0.912, Optical Rotation of -16 to -30, Refractive Index of 1.460 to 1.467 and Flash Point of 66 °C.
