About The Author -: Sir Francis Edward Younghusband was born on 31st May 1863, was a British army officer, explorer, and a spiritual writer. He is remembered for his travels in the far east and central Asia; specially the 1904 British expedition to the Tibet, led by himself, and for his writings on Asia and foreign policy. He held positions including British commissioner to Tibet and president of the royal geographical society. Younghusband wrote 26 books in all between 1885 to 1942, some are ‘south Africa of today’ (1896), ‘Kashmir’ (1909), ‘sense of community’ (1916), etc. He died on 31st July 1942.
