Two chapters, titled Characteristics of Shipping Industry and World Shipping, focus on this aspect of import-export trading. Further, information is provided about export procedures and documents. The authors have also focused on the the use of technology to conduct international businesses. A chapter on Export Incentive Schemes has also been incorporated into the text. Export Import Management has four chapters that focus on doing business with different countries. It starts of with the Middle East, followed by ASEAN nations, then New Zealand, Australia, finally Japan and China. These sections are important as they introduce readers to the economic, legal, political, and social environment that exist in these countries. At the end of each chapter, students will find exercises that help them test their understanding of the content. This can also be used as a reference guide by practicing traders, and students doing their Masters in this field. About The Authors Justin Paul is an author, professor, and consultant. He has written International Marketing, Business Environment, Services Marketing, and Management of Banking And Financial Services. The author did his Ph.D. from IIT Bombay, and is a faculty member of the University of Washington Foster School of Business, US. He was a faculty member at the Nagoya University of Commerce and Business in Japan, as well as at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade in Delhi. Paul has taught courses at universities around the world, and has acted as a consultant to many governments and organizations. Twenty-five of his research papers have been published in international journals. Pauls articles have also been published by the Harvard Business School. Rajiv Aserkar is an author, professor, and consultant. He has written Logistics Manager Roles & Realms, Logistics in International Business, and Infrastructural Investments in India. Aserkar completed his Ph.D from the Devi Ahilya University in Indore. Aserkar was a faculty member of the International Institute of Foreign Trade and Research in Indore, and the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Dubai. He is currently a professor at the S P Jain Centre of Management, Dubai. The author has been a consultant to many companies. He won the Supply Chain & Transportation Award, Education and Training Provider of the Year in 2009. His areas of expertise are Export Procedures and Documentation, Supply Chain Management, and Logistics Management.
