The total period has been divided into 12 chapters and the division of the period has been done following the principles laid down by the great K. M. Munsi - Kulapati and Ramesh Chandra Mazumder. Every chapter is based on a historical perspective which may enable a reader to appraise the status and progress of education in that particular historical period.
