About the book: This glossary aims to contribute to a general and understanding of some of the frequently used terms and concepts related to women studies, gender studies or feminist studies and other social science studies. It addressed to the policymakers, researchers, students and anyone interested in such issues. It is acknowledged that the glossary is depends on the reader's understandings of these terms with their background and experiences. Moreover, a group of Women's Studies scholars held for discussing the scope of Women's Studies had defined its objectives as “Transformation of Spheres of Knowledge Production” through research, for changing the perspectives of the contribution of women in society as well as focus on women-centric issues in contemporary society. About hte Author: Dr M. Eswari is working as the Research Associate in the Centre for Women's Studies, Gandhigram Rural Institute (Deemed to be University), Gandhigram, Tamil Nadu, since 2010. She has completed her Master degree in Women's Studies and Computer Application from Alagappa University, Karaikudi, M.Phil in Women's Studies from Mother Teresa Women's University, Kodaikanal and PhD in Womens' Studies at The Gahigram Rural Institute(DTBU), Gandhigram. She has published an Edited Book and more than twenty Research Articles in International, National Journals and Chapters in Edited books. She has presented research papers in seminars and conferences at the national and international levels. She has also Coordinated a study on Child Marriage Practices among Thottianayakkar Community in Karur District while working as Field Executive in the AREDS, an NGO, earlier. Dr. M. H. Hullur is working as a Teaching Faculty since 2015 in the Department of Women's Studies and worked as a Teaching Faculty from 2012 in the Department of Sociology, Karnatak University Dharwad and worked as Guest Faculty in Kittle Arts College Dharwad from 2005 to 2008 and Completed her P.G. in Sociology, B.Ed., and P.
