Background: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is the sequel to Vice City which tells the story of Carl Johnson, who in order to start a new life leaves the city of Los Santos. The unfortunate happenings in his life compel him to return to his birth place. He is determined to set things right, in the town where everything has gone haywire inflicted with gang wars, police brutality and street violence taking control of the once great town. To set things right, Carl Johnson must first survive the odds which has piled up against him. First he must correct his past and right the wrongs he committed in the past. This makes for an exciting and thrilling task of a man who must survive the odds using whatever resources he can. The action adventure PS2 game has a Mature rating by ESRB and comes with a PEGI rating of 18 and above due to its strong content of language, suggestive themes and excessive violence.

Because he was and always has been a wanted criminal in this town and his return is not a welcome he would remember for life. Carl has to work hard to rise to the top again, take away power from the less deserving people while he also tries to save his family and friends. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas with its single player mode comes packed with missions taking the player on a journey to the fictional Island of San Andreas with Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas as the three main cities. With every achievement of a mission, the player further progresses in the game. Player can indulge in the wide variety of game features ranging from simple thefts, car-jacking, intimidation, extortion and more. The game has a multiplayer mode incorporated for all avid gamers for when the single player missions gets over.
USP: The game also has varieties of mini games to keep players engrossed for hours. One can even use the game’s mechanics to roam about the city and swim in the lakes and seas. Challenge the game’s artificial intelligence, race and see if you have what it takes to be a winner. Demolish areas of the map along with vehicles, intimidate the cops and escape using your driving skills. The game gets even more interesting with players getting to fly some aircrafts around the wide open map. However, flying is not as easy as it sound for players with controls and gauges to observe. Make progress to control key areas and command respect from the petty criminals in that area. Remember to defend your own territory against those who would want to take it.
