About the Author
Satish Chandra has been a Professor of Medieval Indian History and Dean of Social Sciences in Jawaharlal Nehru University. He has also served as the Secretary General of the Society for Indian Ocean Studies. He has worked as the Chairman of the University Grants Commission. His write-ups have been published in many books and journals.
