Description

The Eight verse is the last mantra of the Second Pada of the Isha Upanishad. The Eight verse of the Isha Upanishad is Sa paryagac-chukram-akayam-avranam-asnaviram shuddham-apapaviddham, Kavir manishi paribhuh svayambhur yatha-tathyato ‘rthan vyadadhac chashvatibhyah samabhyah. This means Pervading all, It is radiant and formless, flawless and indivisible, pure and unpierced by evil, all seeing and all-knowing, transcendent and self-existent. It oversees the karmas of all Jivas forever , Jivas here means life. The simple translation of this verse is that you have to transcend only then being pure is possible. This verse is not taking about any God who is formless , pure and all knowing but it talks about the self because the verse has words Kavir Manishsi which means, Kavi, meaning the self , and Manishi meaning the thinker. This also means It is He that has gone abroad—That which is bright, bodiless, without scar of imperfection, without sinews, pure, unpierced by evil. The Seer, the Thinker the One who becomes everywhere, the Self-existent has ordered objects perfectly according to their nature from years sempiternal the verse has words Kavir Manishsi which means that there is a clear distinction in Vedic thought between kavi, meaning the self , and manishi meaning the thinker. The Self indicates the divine supra-intellectual Knowledge and by this direct vision and illumination, you see the reality, the principles and the forms of things in their true relations, in its true dimensions and so the thinker works from the divided consciousness through the possibilities of things downward to the actual manifestation in form and upward to their reality in the self-existent Brahman meaning the existence , this means by thinking which means here through a thought , while being in meditation you can work from the conscious mind and rise upward to the real manifestation and seek and realize , the reality in the self existent , existence ,
