Maalgudi Ki Kahaniyan is written by R.K. Narayan. His full name was Rasipuram Krishnaswami Iyer Narayanaswami. He is of india origin. Most of works are based on the town of Malgudi, a small village in South India. He expired at the age of ninety five in the year 2001. He has won the Padma Vibhushan award and he is also a Pudma Bhushan.
