About the Author:
Harivansh Rai Bachchan is one of the most celebrated poets of the country. He lived till the ripe age of 95. He was born in the year 1907 and he died on 18th January, 2003. He hailed from Allahabad, and he taught as an English teacher at the Allahabad University. Later he went on to spend two years of his life at St Catharine’s college, Cambridge, to do his doctoral thesis on W.B. Yeats.
