Then add this immediately to the Pre-prepared henna paste and mix well so the two mixes have blended well to form an uniform color (developed henna has a brown color and indigo paste is dark green) and apply on hair generously. 4.Cover your HAIRS (BEARD/MOUSTACHE) with plastic wrap. Leave it on for at least 3 hours. Rinse off well under the shower and wash the remaining paste off with a conditioner. SECOND METHOD-TWO STEP- 1.Use Coco nut oil as a barrier around the edges of the beard to keep the henna from staining face. 2.Mix henna with water and lemon juice (more water, less juice or 8:2 ratio) to make a thick yoghurt-like paste.Make sure the henna is well wrapped in plastic. The paste must stay moist for the entire time that it is on your BEARD AND MOUSTACHE HAIR. If it dries out it will shrink away from the hair and not dye it! Henna requires a good long time on the beard for the dye to skin in (3-6 hrs). After letting the paste sit on the beard for MIN 3 hours,it was time to rinse out the paste. Washed the henna paste out using liquid shampoo. 3.12 gm indigo powder ¼ tsp salt mix together with warm tap water and wait for 20 minutes.Apply this to your beard and moustache and leave the indigo on the beard for an hour and half for best results. 4.Indigo dye has a short life span and short dye release.When it’s time to rinse out the indigo use only conditioner. Important: Please note, that your hair color results will depend on your original hair color, it’s variations in shade etc. because henna is a translucent dye that binds to your hair protein to create the resulting shade. So the color you will end up with will be your very own and naturally beautiful! With this process you can use non-chemical ingredients that are safe, healthy, and non toxic to dye your beard black.
