trailer for the game, it appears to be a story-focused, cross-country driving
affair with players fleeing from the law, often the best part of Need For Speed
video games. It appears that players will travel from San Francisco to New
York, driving through Las Vegas and Denver along the way.

Get out of your Car In Need for Speed: The Run, you'll be
racing across the country from San Francisco to New York, avoiding an extremely
aggressive police force along the way. Your career will be tracked by the
Autolog system, which was introduced in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and tracks
your progress, along with the progress of your friends. The action will take
place on-foot as well as on the road. In a live gameplay demonstration, an
intense race through the rain ended with a devastating crash, which forced the
character to sprint away from his wrecked vehicle and through a variety of
alleys and buildings. The action looked to be governed by quick-time events
(QTEs) which called for immediate button prompts during jumps. The chase
continued with the character brawling with a cop and jacking a police car,
where the action once again returned to the road. That is until another wreck
left our hero on the tracks of an oncoming train.
