This purple-brown mature leafed amber brew of June seasonal harvest entices the soul with its unique musky spiciness or 'muscatel'.From early summer throughout the monsoon is the time for 2nd flush or 2nd harvest. The leaves are dark colour & have a floral scent, with a lively character & absorb maximum rain water & mature throughout monsoon. More they mature, stronger is their aroma. The leaves are luscious, moist & juicy producing a rich color & muscatel flavor with a fruity taste when brewed. This black tea, with smooth, full bodied cup & aroma with a dark color & strong flavor , a strong & a sweet touch of muscatel is truly a connoisseur's delight. The second flush tea expresses a full bodied cup and aroma with its infused tea leaves of bright copper or purplish tinge and has a dark color and strong flavor in contrast to first flush teas and also in contrast to Autumn Darjeeling which has a delicate and a sparkling character. Just add 1tsp (2gms) in a cup of 200 ml hot water(95℃) & steep for 3-4 mins. Steep time can be adjusted as per taste. Even at its boldest, Darjeeling tea is still generally drunk without milk, sugar or even lemon although sweetener or honey can be added as per taste.
