Radhakrishan Sapru studied at Panjab University, Chandigarh, which awarded him\nmaster’s degrees in Political Science (1970), Public Administration (1972) and\nEnglish (1976) and subsequently a doctorate in Public Administration in 1983 and an LLB\ndegree in 1992.
\nInitially appointed as teaching-cum-research assistant at the Department of Public\nAdministration, Panjab University, Chandigarh, in February 1976, Dr Sapru rose to the\nposition of Professor. He headed the Department of Public Administration at Panjab\nUniversity from 1 April 1990 to 31 March 1993 and again from 1 April 2002 to 31 March\n2005. Dr Sapru retired as Professor in August 2005, after serving nearly three decades\nat the Panjab University. During his academic career and after superannuation, Dr Sapru\npublished more than 50 articles in national and international journals besides 10 books in\nthe field of public administration.
