His earlier 2 books were first, Man’s Spiritual Journey and second, Awakening the Thinking Mind The book attempts to touch the whole gamut of subjects, which are very relevant and significant to contemporary world. The topics of discussion range from ‘human destiny’ to our own inner journey. From pain, suffering, mental stress, loneliness, fear, anxiety, digital obsession and attention deficit to success, pleasure, happiness and likewise many other topics have been included in the book. how each one of us can redesign our life’s journey in view of challenges faced in the modern age, is the central theme behind this book. THE AUTHOR Balvinder Kumar Balvinder Kumar is an accomplished author and a spiritual seeker, who has been sharing his thoughtson various aspects of life, science and spirituality. Towards this passion, his two books, Man’s Spiritual Journey and Awakening the Thinking Mind, explore spiritual life as it primarily relates to inherent features and functioning of mind. His writings are greatly influenced not only by recent findings of neuroscientists and medical researchers but also by the teachings of the Buddhist tradition, Vedic philosophy and the inspirations of contemporary spiritual teachers. He himself is a regular practitioner of mindfulness based meditation. He obtained his Master in Philosophy in Science from University of Delhi and Master in Development Administration from University of Birmingham, England and has about 36 years of experience in public policies, administration and management and at the peak of his career; he served as Secretary to the Government of India. Later, he briefly served as Vice Chancellor of SGT University in Gurgaon, Haryana. Currently he is working in a regulatory body of real estate in the state of Uttar Pradesh. His passions include art work by way of oil and acrylic paintings on canvas. He has displayed his works through art exhibitions.
