Reviewworks like a charm
high quality, fast delivery, useful device, best price, valuable in bangalore, every thing was fine. recomend you to buy it soon
Its not always that you come across the chimney lighter for bbq in India.. And the one's that's available are prohibitively expensive.. This is a great deal.. though the inside paint peels off after could of uses, I was expecting that since this was painted (or powder coated). Otherwise it's a great deal who wants to light up the charcoal even in their balcony
It's probably the best if you know how to use it. It heats up the coal quickly. All you need is a matchbox and newspaper rolled into a donut shaped. That's it. You're good to go. The coal heats up within 15 minutes. The handle comes as a separate one so you have to screw it to the starter. It's heavy but not very heavy. Put the paper under it and light it through the circular holes.
I hv yet to use it But it is as i expected the product to be..It would have been better if it ws deep so that when we light coal from below it can get fire easily. Lets ee. i will update review
Great value for money . Heats up quickly and works as promised . Because of black color of the container looks always new :)
This is a pretty decent product. Solid feel to the metal and nice and heavy. Same size as the chimney starter from Weber but at 1/4th the price. Lets look at the cons because Pro's are basically just price. #1: The paint job is nice but I don't know how long it will last with coal burning inside. The weber approach of plain metal seems smarter. Time will tell. #2: While I listed the weight as a pro - it is also a con. This is definitely a heavier product than the weber alternative... you need muscles to lift it when it is full. Both of these are trivial issues though - especially considering the price. Three additional issues are not as trivial and might affect your decision: #3: There is no additional grip provided... the weber one has a second grip that helps lift the chimney - then you can use the other hand to tilt... this one needs you to have the strength of a gorilla to twist it over. I plan to modify the chimney by drilling holes on the sides and looping a steel pipe/wire - similar to the weber one around the top. Should be easy enough. #4: The wooden grip is a bit flimsy - not sure it will last very long - lets see. Additionally it is not finished - just sanded down. I have unscrewed it from the chimney and am coating it with varnish - 2 layers should do the trick. #5: The weber chimney has a conical bottom with the middle protruding upwards - this spreads the heat from below better into the bottom layer of coals and gets more of them lit quicker. This chimney has a flat layer at the bottom which might work out - will see... but it is inferior from a pure physics point of view. This is something I will have to live with - can't see a way to modify the bottom. At this price though - I can live with the issues I listed and would still recommend this to anyone who agrees with me that original Weber products are seriously overpriced.
Its a decent make product. Probably not as perfect as Weber's Chimney Starter, but for half the price its worth it as it does what it is supposed to do.. burns coal effortlessly. the "handle" of this product could have been better.
It works......but its size disappointing. The manufacturer should attach a bakelite handle instead of a wooden one. Therefore please handle it with care.
Useful & quality is just ok,still fill the price is higher side.
