About the Author George Samuel Clason was born in Louisiana, Missouri in the year 1874. Throughout his life, he worked as a soldier, businessman and writer. George Samuel Clason also worked for the United States Army during the Spanish-American War. He was the orginator of two companies, the Clason Publishing Company and Clason Map Company of Denver Colorado. George Clason also wrote a series of informational pamphlets in the year 1926. These pamphlets were about how to achieve financial success easily and to be thrifty. The most famous of these pamphlets were compiled into the book 'The Richest Man in Babylon' which was earlier named as 'Gold Ahead'.
