About the Author
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a Scottish physician and writer best known for Sherlock Holmes series. Apart from penning the world’s best detective series he also possessed a keen interest in sports. He was of Irish descent and was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. He studied medicine in Vienna which reflected in his work as Sherlock possessed very astute knowledge of Human Anatomy. He was a very popular crime-fiction writer but also wrote other books notably historical, non-fiction as well as many other short stories. He at one point even considered Historical books to be of more importance than Sherlock Holmes. He died at the age of 71 from a heart attack in 1930.
