Synopsis
Small is Beautiful looks at the economic structure of the Western world in an extremely revolutionary way. The author, Dr E. F. Schumacher, argues that nature's resistance to pollution is limited as well. He concludes that government effort must be concentrated on sustainable development as relatively minor improvements, e.g. technology transfer to third world countries will not solve major problems like that of an unsustainable economy. Small is Beautiful is divided into four parts namely:
1. The Modern World
2. Resources
3. The Third World
4. Organization and Ownership
This non-fiction book is available at very reasonable price for purchase.
