About the Author
After serving for sixteen years as a senior lecturer in Physics in Dr. Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering, Karaikudi, S.O. Pillai was recruited by the State Service Commission and posted as Assistant Professor in Guindy Engineering College, Madras in 1976 and then his services were transferred to Anna University in 1978. He has authored forty research papers in the field of Ultrasonic and Materials Science. He is also the author of four text-books. Pillai was also honored with a citation and an award by Anna University acknowledging his independent work in many vital areas of academic interest and for his unblemished academic career.
