Sony - best for use. Worth spending money than other drives of same classes. Got 931GB's of usable space. Normal transfer speed for USB 2.0 i am having : 25-30Mbps Haven't tried with USB 3.0 :( I can say... If you are thinking to spend $$ for value than spend on this. LOOKS: SUPPPBBLY Finished. Looks wise CLASSIC. Size: Can be easily hold in POCKET.

Sony 1 TB External Hard Disk (Silver) This is the best external Hard Drive in the market. 1>Very expensive look Believe me when i unbox the hard drive and get the brand new fresh hard drive in hand it looks gorgeous shiny silver metallic finish. far better than looks as in image. 2> Got carry pouch free..!!! Yes. during placing of order it didn't shown that the pouch came free. but i get the genuine SONY pouch for free. 3> Data transfer accelerator. The hard drive came with the application to increase the transferring speed it says that approx 50% faster speed in USB 3.0 and approx 45% faster speed in USB 2.0 than normal. by the way something is better than nothing. 4> Best password protection. This HDD includes the application of password protection, And the data encryption system. This encryption available is NONE, AES128 and AES256. The AES256 is too hard to crack, evan manufacturer can't crack that encryption. And Second thing you have to format the full partition for change or removing of password. And you can do a setting for two partition, one password protected and second as normal.

Awesome product, its beautiful, compact, reliable and fast what else we need from a hard disc. Data transfer accelerator is an extra shine to this product. i also posses Harddisc of Toshiba, Transcend and WD but this product beats all of them in performance and style, i really enjoy my purchace

Like it very much, good speed, less heavy, easy to use.. No cons...

Its nicely built, with its aluminum body. Gives a sturdy feel. It also comes softwares such as password protector, data transfer accelerator, backup... these are quite useful. These softwares if deleted can be easily downloaded from the sony website.

It is a good product for this price. doesn't produce any vibration/heat. data transfer speed is more while using the Sony's software that comes with the product. The USB cable is short in length.

Good product, as stated in most of the reviews , it comes with a nice pouch for cable storage
