Oscar Wilde was born in 1854 in Dublin. A self-proclaimed socialist, he published only one novel the Picture of Dorian Gray followed by several witty plays such as the Importance of being Earnest, Salomé and others which catapulted him to fame. A pleasure-seeking prince, a selfish giant and more. A haunting, magical fairy-tale collection, in which Oscar Wilde beautifully evokes (among others) the Happy Prince, who was not so happy after all, the Selfish Giant, who learned to love little children and the Star Child, who did not love his parents as much as he should. Each of the stories shines with poetry and magic and will be enjoyed by people from eight to eighty years of age.
