About the Authors
The stories in The Stranger and Other Curious Stories have been contributed by members of the Association of Writers and Illustrators for Children (AWIC). This association was founded by eminent writer and cartoonist K Shankar Pillai in 1981. Its members work for the development of children's literature in India. AWIC is the Indian section of IBBY. Well-known writers for children like Ramendra Kumar, Nilima Sinha, Girija Asthana, Nita Berry, and Deepa Agarwal have contributed to this collection.
Penned under the guidance of noted theatre personality Feisal Alkazi, the script of Children of the Magic Pen has been written by well-known writers for children Nilima Sinha, Girija Rani Asthana, Nita Berry, and Devika Rangachari, all members of the Association of Writers and Illustrators for Children. AWIC is the Indian section of IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People), and its members work towards the development of children's literature in India.
