फिटकरी का इस्तेमाल आमतौर पर चोट, खरोंच या फिर जलने, कटने के दौरान किया जाता है। इसके अलावा आफ्टर सेव और पानी के शुद्धिकरण के लिए भी फिटकरी प्रयोग में लाया जाता है। आयुर्वेद की मानें तो फिटकरी एक एंटी-बैक्टीरियल औषधि है, जिसके कई लाभ बताए गए हैं।फिटकरी एक प्रकार का खनिज है जो प्राकृतिक रूप में पत्थर की शक्ल में चट्टानों से मिलती है।फिटकरी लाल व सफ़ेद दो प्रकार की होती है। जिन लोगो को शरीर से ज्यादा पसीना आने की समस्या हो तो वो लोग नहाते समय पानी में फिटकरी को घोलकर नहाने से पसीना आना कम हो जाता है। फिटकरी को नहाने के पानी में घोल कर प्रयोग करने से खुजली और शरीर से बदबू आना बंद होती है। जननांगों की खुजली:- फिटकरी को गर्म पानी में मिलाकर जननांगों को धोने से जननांगों की खुजली में लाभ होता है।
