About the Author
R.J.Palacio is the author of this super sweet novel. She is a graphic designer by profession and also loves writing. She has claimed that she once faced an incident that propelled her to write her first novel. Once when she took her young son for ice cream she realised that a girl with facial deformity was standing next to her son. She was afraid of how her son would react to the girl and so removed him from the scene. However, she later felt guilty of doing so and the whole incident set her thinking. This is how she wrote her first novel Wonder.
