HD Audio Decoding
The YSP-4100 is designed to deliver the best possible sound from Blu-ray Disc players as well as from other digital sources. It can decode the two lossless HD Audio formats (Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio) as well as the two lossy formats (Dolby Digital Plus and DTS HD High Resolution).
Versatile listening modes
To deliver sound as per your preferences, the YSP-4100 supports various listening modes. This home theatre system delivers true surround sound by directing sound beams off the walls to reach the listener from various angles. The main mode is 5 BeamPlus2 for 7-channel sources. Apart from that, you can select 3 Beam + Stereo + 2, 5 Beam, 3 Beam + Stereo, 3 Beam or Stereo; depending on the type of source and your room acoustics.
Eleven CINEMA DSP Programmes
It is equipped with state-of-the-art CINEMA DSP technology, which creates electrifyingly and realistic soundscapes in any room. Eleven CINEMA DSP programmes (three Movie, three Music and five Entertainment) are also available for the users.
Digital Sound Projector Technology
The YSP-4100 employs the cutting-edge Digital Sound Projector Technology to control the orientation of the sound by focusing it through multiple beams. Sound produced from the centre channel is heard directly, while sounds from other channels reach listeners after reflecting off walls. The sound produced by the home theatre system is true multi-channel surround sound that sounds just like a multi-speaker system (without requiring speakers).
Built-In DSP, Speakers and Digital Amplifiers
This slim unit includes everything necessary for projecting true surround sound. It features built in: DSP for Digital Signal Processor, 40 beam drivers, two woofers and digital amplifiers. The system does not require any other receiver, amplifier or speakers, which certainly makes it extremely compact and economical. Since no external component is required, it is easier for users to use the system in a different room (zone) in a custom multi-zone system. In comparison to previous models, the system is thinner with a depth of 90mm.
1080p-Compatible HDMI (4 In/1 Out)
The YSP-4100 provides HDMI connections (4 in/1 out), with support for 1080p resolution. Users can easily connect multiple HDMI sources and experience the highest possible video quality when using a 1080p monitor. It is also capable of repeating 1080p/24fps signals from HDMI input to output, thereby letting you enjoy superior image quality from Blu-ray Disc players and HDTV set top boxes. Other benefits that can be availed using HDMI include Deep Colour, x.v.Colour and Auto Lip-Sync.
Analogue Video to HDMI Digital Video Upconversion
The YSP-4100 provides upconversion of video composite and component signals to HDMI. Later, the signal can be output via a single HDMI cable to a monitor so that you can enjoy high-definition video quality.
IntelliBeam Automated System Calibration
The IntelliBeam Automated System Calibration feature ensures maximum multi-channel sound reproduction with accurate image location. Using the microphone that comes with the YSP-4100, it first monitors and analyses the sound. Then, IntelliBeam automatically sets the best beam angles, while optimising the level and frequency response of each beam. Also, it offers the Direct Start function via remote unit. This function makes the setup process pretty easy.
UniVolume
The UniVolume Technology maintains a consistent volume level between different channels, programs, commercials and input sources. You can switch it on and off whenever required.
HDMI CEC Functionality
If you connect the YSP-4100 is to a CEC compatible TV, the home theatre system will turn on and off together with the TV. Further, users can use the TV remote unit to control the YSP-4100 volume. When CEC is in use, signals will pass through the YSP-4100 even if it is off.
Music Enhancer
Usually the frequency response suffers when music is encoded into a digitally compressed format like MP3. The Music Enhancer function restores what was lost to ensure that your music always sounds the way it should.
